In January 2016 the chaplaincy began a new area of ministry. As Chuck continued to see gaps he saw a need for spiritual care in a different setting, and physical care as well. There was also no regular food service for the marginalized of our community and, combining these two needs, Street Church was formed. Working with a number of like minded friends we began serving food and worshiping one Sunday a month at the Mission. We then moved into the Salvation Army's House of Hope. We are now looking at having street church twice monthly as the need continues. Please follow our Street Church page on Facebook or here on our website for updates and special events.
Each Sunday we have Tailgate Street Church in the parking lot of the Upper Room Mission.
On the Sunday before wellfare cheques come out we have a full meal and service at 1pm at House of Hope (Salvation Army) - usually the 3rd Sunday of the month.
